System Project Manager (IT Department)
Purpose:
The Project Manager leads large-scale projects, defining scope, managing schedules, and addressing technical challenges. They monitor progress, ensure adherence to timelines and quality standards, and collaborate with stakeholders. With a strong technical background, they optimize project performance and ensure successful deployment. Requirements include a degree in Computer Science, PMP or Scrum Master certification, and excellent communication skills. The Project Manager delivers projects that meet quality standards and client needs.
Responsibilities:
- Define project scope, establish and manage project schedules, and proactively identify and address technical challenges.
- Lead and manage project teams for large-scale system deployment projects.
- Monitor project progress throughout all phases, ensuring adherence to timelines and quality standards.
- Prepare comprehensive proposal documents and submissions.
- Possess a strong technical background, with hands-on experience and understanding of software development and web technologies.
- Collaborate with business users and IT professionals to optimize project performance and outcomes.
- Ensure successful project deployment within the defined quality parameters and schedule, following the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) for IT projects.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
- Preferred certifications include PMP (Project Management Professional) or Scrum Master.
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in project management.
- Experience working on scalable IT projects and deployments will be considered an advantage.
- Strong ability to work effectively as part of a team, even under pressure and tight deadlines.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a customer-oriented approach.
