Role and responsibilities

  • Monitor the credit risk through credit approval process to ensure portfolio quality
  • Conduct comprehensive portfolio reviews to assess the overall credit risk profile and identify areas for improvement or risk mitigation
  • formulate and review Bank’s credit policy and guidelines for secured and unsecured lending and credit card products, in compliance with the Bank’s and regulatory requirements
  • monitor special credit assessment and limit control for effective portfolio management and address credit risk issues
  • Stay updated on market trends, changes in regulations, and emerging risks to ensure the credit policies remain effective and aligned with the bank’s risk appetite.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, or a related field. Master’s degree is preferred.
  • At least 10 years’ experience in credit risk management within a retail banking environment.
  • Strong knowledge of credit risk management principles, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to assess complex credit risks and make sound decisions.
  • Demonstrated leadership abilities, with the capacity to effectively manage teams and drive results.
  • Sound understanding of retail banking lending products, lending principles, and credit underwriting processes.
  • Ability to adapt to a dynamic and changing regulatory environment.
  • Good command of written and spoken English and Chinese (including Putonghua).
