Senior Manager, Financial Planning (Bank)

Responsibilities:

• Perform financial planning and formulate budget process, budget plan and respective communications, 
• Co-work with teams in formulating their balanced scorecards for the sake of budgeting , rolling forecasts , mid-term planning etc.
• Monitor the budgets and monthly rolling forecasts for the Bank and escalate to management for any material changes in business or regulations that may affect the forecasts
• Review variances between budget and actual financial results or other special accounting reports for management in conjunction with recommendations
• Analyse the monthly forecast Net Interest Margin including gross interest rate and internal interest rate
• Support to the team for the month-end results projection for submission to Group for month-end closing
• Provide ad hoc financial analysis and management information reports with relevant recommendations to management to facilitate proper financial planning and decision making
• Communicate with parent bank on budget, forecast related matters and balanced scorecard setting
• Oversees performance management system and FTP system, and perform necessary system maintenance

Requirements:

• Degree holder in Accounting or related disciplines or a qualified accountant
• • Minimum 5-7 years’ experience in management and financial reporting in audit or banking industry, with at least 2 years in supervisory level
• • In-depth knowledge of accounting principles, bank’s accounting policies and procedures
• • Strong knowledge in governmental, statutory rules and regulations
• • Good knowledge and experience in financial analysis and management reporting
• • Experience in building financial models is an advantage
• • Membership of professional accounting association / The Hong Kong Association of Banks is preferred
• • Good command of written and spoken English and Chinese (including Putonghua)
