Manager, Accounting (Treasury Accounting)

Responsibilities:

• Perform treasury accounting functions in timely manner
• Lead a team in the reconciliation process to produce timely and reliable information to serve internal and external regulatory reporting requirements
• Facilitate treasury operation in carrying out an effective and proper control function on the reconciliation process.
• Perform analysis on treasury products in supporting internal, statutory and regulatory reporting.
• Ensure proper disclosure of treasury products information
• Oversee and monitor the production of all accounting guidelines, policies, procedures and support systems enhancement / replacement projects on treasury related products
• Ensure the alignment of accounting treatment on derivatives for their consolidated level accounts, provide accounting advices and support to overseas branches on new product launch, system enhancement or replacement projects
• Assist on ad-hoc analytics projects as requested.

Requirements:

• Degree holder in Accounting or related discipline
• Qualified accountant
• 5-10 years of relevant experience in management and financial accounting in banking industry, preferably with exposure in reporting for treasury or fund investment products
• Familiar with accounting principles, the bank’s accounting policies and procedures and government regulations
• Strong technical knowledge in accounting treatment and MIS reporting on treasury products
• Mature, independent, responsible and detail-minded
• Self-motivated, independent with good communication skills.
• Good command of written and spoken English and Chinese
