Assistant Manager / Manager, Business Analyst (Retail Banking – Credit Risk)

Responsibilities:
- Serve as a liaison between the business unit and IT department, facilitating communication on new projects and system enhancements.
- Streamline end-to-end workflows for retail banking credit applications and approval processes to optimize efficiency.
- Conduct comprehensive process and workflow analysis for retail credit applications to align with the bank’s Fintech strategy and regulatory requirements.
- Improve the performance of the credit processing dashboard for the team.
- Support the bank in meeting regulatory requirements through robust credit risk assessment processes.
- Identify trends in customer segments and contribute to credit risk analysis.
- Detect and analyze suspicious fraud credit applications to prevent and mitigate fraud cases.
- Assist in the implementation of strategies and control measures in approval systems.
- Prepare user requirements, review functional specifications, and support user acceptance testing (UAT) for credit processing-related system enhancements.
- Collaborate closely with stakeholders, including business units, IT department, operations, audit, and compliance.
Requirements:
- University degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Data Science, Computer Science, or related disciplines.
- Minimum of 4 years of risk management experience in the banking or financial industry, preferably with exposure to process re-engineering.
- Proficiency in SAS, VBA, Tableau, MS-Access, and Excel.
- Strong analytical mindset and problem-solving skills.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Experience in credit processing / credit approval / IT project management is preferred.
- Excellent team player with strong project management, interpersonal, and communication skills.
- Fluent in spoken English and Chinese (including Mandarin).
